Fears

People are afraid of a lot of things: snakes, the dark, clowns, heights etc. As humans were also afraid of rejection and of the unknown. We want acceptance and we want our lives to be comfortable and fairly predictable. Christians shouldn’t expect a life like this, out lives are going to be uncomfortable at times, and we should also live our lives to the fullest.

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness. -John 10:10

Jesus has set us free from our sins, as Christians we should act like it! It will be scary, but it’ll be exciting. I remember I went on a missions trip to the Philippines, and I was told to share my testimony to this big group of people. I had never spoken in front of a group of people that size before and I was so scared that I was shaking. I got up there and started preaching the gospel and started talking about all the things God had done in my life. Although that was extremely scary and nerve wracking it was awesome, people saw God because I had decided to step up and share something. It was amazing to think that God would use me to speak to those people. When I decided to become uncomfortable for Him I was used to bless those people.

Don’t let your fear of rejection or of the unknown limit what you’re willing to do for God. He will give you peace and will use you to bless others and make an impact for His kingdom.

So, are you willing to let go of those fears and be uncomfortable for Him?
