Patience, Prudence.

“Patience, Prudence” is a phrase that my grandma has been telling me since I was a little kid. I’ve always moved at 100 miles per hour, running around like a crazy person because there’s so much to get done. Because of this, I’m horrible at waiting. God knows this, so right now I’m going through the “waiting season” of my life. I have so many ideas and dreams for the future, things that God is calling me to do, that I can’t do right now, simply because it’s not the right time.

This reminds me of Saul aka Paul. He has this amazing experience with God on the road to Damascus. He is instantly changed, becomes a Christian, and is ready to preach, but he didn’t start his ministry until 3 years later. In Galatians 1, Paul is describing his conversion, and verse 18 says “Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas and remained with him fifteen days.”

Like Paul, we all have to wait. So, if you have a dream, it you know you are called to do something, don’t become discouraged if it doesn’t happen right away. Continue to look to God and wait for His timing. Like my grandma says: “Have patience, Prudence.”
