Posted by Today, I want us to pray for leaders in the home. This is one of those topics that I know is the Lord and not me because I am single and live alone—I am the leader in my home. It feels weird to be praying for myself. But I’m leaning into it, please join me.
When things started to shut down and everyone was forced into their homes, I think we learned a lot about ourselves and what we value. Families were spending more time together than they probably have in years, which was both good and also difficult (so I’ve heard). But I hope it’s revealed to all of us how we need daily to meet with God, hear his voice, and have a fresh filling of his presence to do his will. I hope that our daily reliance upon him has increased during this season (I know it has for me).
Today is going to be a little more fluid based on your particular situation. As always, you are welcome to pray along with me, or you can flow with the Holy Spirit. Or you can do both. There’s not really a right or wrong answer here.
Today I am praying for:
- The head of my household (this could be you or someone in your household)
- A deeper relationship with God and an ear tuned to his voice
- Conviction of sin and quickness to repentance
