Pray for All People: Day 14

Posted by

There are plenty of things about the Lord and the life of faith that are incredibly mysterious. God is gloriously infinite and I will never be able to fully understand him. Even though he’s so much greater than our human minds can comprehend, he makes himself known to us. He gives us an opportunity to understand what’s important to him and what he cares deeply for. God doesn’t keep himself hidden from us and he doesn’t make pleasing him a guessing game. How amazing is that!

When we read through the Bible, it’s clear that there are some things God really cares about. As I’ve been intentionally seeking him, I’ve been realizing that his priorities and my priorities don’t always match up. Since he’s clearly right, I’ve been praying that he will align my priorities with his. Here’s just one example:

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 (NIV)

Today I am praying for:

  • God’s people to have God’s priorities
  • That we would act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God
  • That we would do what is good and pleasing to God

Do you ever realize that your priorities are different than God’s?

What is God saying to you?
