This is the third in the Behold series. These are invitations to slow down and simply savor God. Each day contains a passage to read, a few thoughts from me, and then plenty of space for you to write. It’s an opportunity to make time to really meditate on God and His immense love for you!
I’m shocked that I have written this book because I have struggled with receiving God’s love for myself. My tendency is to want to earn God’s love rather than receive this free gift. When I first became a Christian, I wanted to follow the rules well enough to earn God’s favor. I struggled to believe that God could love me as-is. Trying to be perfect by following the rules seemed easier to me than accepting God’s free gift of love.
I’m not writing this book because I have love all figured out. I definitely don’t. Behold III comes out of my desire to cultivate a daily practice of living in the love of God, and I invite you to join me on this journey.
I do know this:
God loves you. He has deep affection for you. He created you, died for you, and was raised to life for you. God knows you, is pleased with you, and is with you.
The goal of Behold III is to give you a guide to encountering God’s presence and savoring His love for you.
