We can bring the peace, grace, love, hope, and joy of the Kingdom here to earth today.
While we don’t always have add-ons attached to our names, I wonder how many of us have added things to our identity along the way.
The things that we do, if done in faith, hope, and love, aren’t wasted.
Because of Jesus, we don’t have to follow the prideful path of least resistance, but can live a life of productive beauty with him.
Maybe our grief, sorrow, mourning, and heartbreak isn’t for nothing; in fact, maybe it can be used to glorify God.
Even when things look bleak, we can trust in God’s word and promises because he is our good and loving father.
We live in a far from perfect world, yet we can choose a different story than Jonah did.
It’s amazing what small acts of obedience can do in our lives and the lives of others.
I’m grateful that God continues to pursue disobedient people, showing us his unmerited favor and grace.
From Jonah’s story, I believe we can learn a wealth of information about who God is and who we are.
