Regularly reflecting with God is counter-cultural, but I think this is a beautiful opportunity for us to set ourselves apart for his glory.
Just like giving and praying, Jesus makes it clear in Matthew 6 that fasting should be a regular part of the Christian experience. Fasting should be a regular occurrence in the life of a believer.
Prayer isn’t some religious experience that we do from rote memory, but is a dynamic conversation with the Almighty Creator of the entire universe. Let’s run to him in prayer today!
The financial need is great in the world right now and there’s only so much we can do. But I want us to fight against the lie that because we can’t do everything we shouldn’t do anything.
Let’s examine our lives, our decision-making processes, and choose the standard we will set for 2021 and beyond.
Being right is overrated.
Enjoying an adventure with God is how we were created to live.
I can be presumptuous in what I create, what I write, and what I do. I can live a life of assumption instead of surrender to God.
I believe the Sabbath is a sweet invitation to take a breath. To stop. To enjoy God. And to trust him.
God has given us the gift of the Sabbath, let’s stop rejecting it.
Grace will always require more of us than the Law.
