Comparison: The Community Killer
Comparison has no place in the Kingdom.
My thoughts as I journey through this thing called life.
Comparison has no place in the Kingdom.
Church is weird and church people are even weirder. But, does that have to be a bad thing? Being selfless is weird. Being devoted is weird. Building relationships is uncomfortable. Doing live together and being accountable to someone is just downright strange. Exhibiting the characteristics of love and joy and peace and patience and kindness are all out of the ordinary. But all of these things are desperately needed. In a society that’s hurting and looking for answers, maybe a little of that weirdness isn’t so bad.
Wow! Our God is so much bigger and better than I can ever hope to understand! If he could provide that much for those people in need, what can and will he do for you in your life?
As Christians we need to reach out to all different types of people not just those people who are from the same background as us. That “church mold” needs to be broken; salvation isn’t limited to a certain race, gender, age, or socioeconomic group.
My question for you is: are you desperate for Him?
