The Community Component of the Unbinding Process
As uncomfortable as it can be, community is a vital part of our healing process.

As uncomfortable as it can be, community is a vital part of our healing process.
We don’t need to fix or have all the answers or be worried about the destination–we can just focus on being as present with our traveling companions as we can.
Something powerful happens when someone comes alongside you and says “I’ve been there, it does get better, and I’ll be here with you until it does.”
Are you striving to be someone you’re not? Are you trying to change your way into belonging? Me too! But I’m working to undo that behavior.
Servolution promotes the idea of serving small, helping the overlooked, and doing what you can when you can. That’s it.
There’s a time for giving advice.
There’s also a time for being present.
And it’s our job to know what time it is and respond accordingly.
Take some time to think about what’s causing your guilt. Then let God’s perfect love remove the blame and shame that we can so easily take on.
I encourage you to reach out to your community and keep that lifeline of relationship in tact when it’s easier to focus on processes and task lists.
Have you ever uttered this phrase to yourself before? You’re doing some sort of task or interacting with some human and suddenly it hits you: “I’m a jerk!”. That’s not a fun revelation to come to.
Loneliness sucks. But it’s also an invitation, an opportunity, to draw near to God and his people to find peace and healing and hope.
