One thing that I am hyper-aware of in this season is the fact that everything that we do is motivated by what we believe.
We’re all part of the same body, connected together through our shared faith, to encourage each other as we journey through this difficult thing called life.
Though it can be uncomfortable, accountability provides an opportunity for growth that is unmatched, vulnerability is all that’s required in return.
Have you called something “not for you” because it was outside of your comfort zone?
Jesus is perfect, not a perfectionist.
I’m thankful that God (and others) stick with me even when I’m being an angry elf and hold me accountable when I slip back into unhealthy habits.
I highly recommend you try confession and repentance for yourself and see how God moves in your life!
The truth is, the best remedy for my control problem is not to try to control my behavior further, but to focus on what Jesus willingly did for me.
Growth rarely happens in the comfort zone, so I encourage you to take a baby step out of it today, and see what happens.
Part of the joy of being a Christian is that we do change. The problem is that I tend to resist change.
