As we trim back some of the excess from our physical lives, I believe the same can be done for our hearts and minds.
I’m thankful that God (and others) stick with me even when I’m being an angry elf and hold me accountable when I slip back into unhealthy habits.
If you’ve wandered at all, I encourage you to turn around today.
When things seem bad or you begin to revert back to old behaviors, know that you can make a different choice. Make the decision to change your mind and continue to pursue God.
Let’s quit something this Thursday and see what happens!
My hope and prayer is that we would all have the courage to confront those things in us that need to be healed and to let those things reside in the past that have been forgiven.
Our lives are intricately and beautifully connected to one another, we can’t operate in a compartmentalization mentality, though that would be easier.
