During difficulties, God isn’t as concerned with our circumstances as he is about our identities. If we, in the midst of unemployment or a break-up or depression or pain, can see ourselves as we truly are, beloved children of God, it will change how we live.
While we’re so focused on the external situation being remedied, God is concerned with our identities.
None of us are immune to it, but I believe we can create safe spaces for others when they feel knocked around by life.
We’re human and we’re going to mess up, we will stumble, we will err, but we get to choose our response to that moment of failure.
Whether you’re going through a particularly hard or an incredibly good season or anywhere in between, I encourage you to turn to and reach out to him today.
If you’re sitting in the middle of an “I don’t know” right now, that’s okay. You don’t need to know all the answers.
