Cutting Out and Trimming Back
As we trim back some of the excess from our physical lives, I believe the same can be done for our hearts and minds.
My thoughts as I journey through this thing called life.
As we trim back some of the excess from our physical lives, I believe the same can be done for our hearts and minds.
Since the beginning of time, God has been after our hearts. Through generations of disobedience and avoidance and apathy, he’s still continued to passionately pursue us. Though we’ve wavered over and over and over again, he hasn’t given up on us.
No matter how good or bad your heart looks, God wants it. He wants all of it. More than our actions or skills or behaviors or dreams, he wants our hearts.
I hope you are well, great, or even stupendous, but if you’re not, that’s okay too. We’re all works in progress and there’s grace for you here.
No matter the state of your heart, God wants to and can restore it to wholeness, that is Christa’s anthem and she proclaims it boldly.
I encourage you to take a look at your heart and get rid of the things that no longer belong there.
What do you do when the thing you thought would solve all your problems doesn’t?
