I’m grateful that God continues to pursue disobedient people, showing us his unmerited favor and grace.
From Jonah’s story, I believe we can learn a wealth of information about who God is and who we are.
God has fresh revelation and strength for us today—we don’t have to rely on past provision.
It’s so easy to think of God as some aloof guy who sees and treats us all the same, but he knows and cares for each of us individually.
I’ve been going about my merry way, thanking God for the opportunities in front of me, only to realize that he’s been whispering to me “This is good, but I have better for you.”
I suspect that rest is a lot more vital than we think and could completely change our lives if we were willing to give it a try.
This recovering control freak is indeed walking out her recovery.
Is there anything that you’ve been instructed to let go of? I encourage you to do it without delay.
So I’m choosing to be obedient even though I prefer my plan over God’s. I’m believing that his direction is so much better than my own direction and I’m submitting to his plans.
