Self-Reliant Church: Mark 2
I believe the Sabbath is a sweet invitation to take a breath. To stop. To enjoy God. And to trust him.
My thoughts as I journey through this thing called life.
I believe the Sabbath is a sweet invitation to take a breath. To stop. To enjoy God. And to trust him.
God has given us the gift of the Sabbath, let’s stop rejecting it.
We’ve come to believe the lie that rest is an event, not a lifestyle.
Jesus came to take our burdens—even the ones we give ourselves.
It’s amazing how even a few moments to slow down and listen to God can be the recharge that we need amidst our busy lives.
I suspect that rest is a lot more vital than we think and could completely change our lives if we were willing to give it a try.
While we are no longer under the strict rules of the law, we are hemmed in by grace.
This life is a marathon and not a sprint. And we need to pace ourselves accordingly.
I’m learning that there’s no shame in embracing our limitations.
The truth is that I need a brief intermission to recharge and rest. And that’s okay.
