A Lifestyle of Rest
We’ve come to believe the lie that rest is an event, not a lifestyle.
My thoughts as I journey through this thing called life.
We’ve come to believe the lie that rest is an event, not a lifestyle.
It’s so easy to think of God as some aloof guy who sees and treats us all the same, but he knows and cares for each of us individually.
Choosing to believe what the Lord says about us instead of the voice of scarcity is immensely brave. And we are called to live bravely.
I wonder how our lives would change if we dared to lean in just a little closer and let the hand of the master restorer work.
Trusting God is much easier to talk about than to actually do, but I encourage you to take a look at what your actions reveal about your view of God.
Trusting God with all of our hearts, not just specific compartments, is how we were made to live. And I believe every day is an invitation from God to do just that.
I’m thankful that Jesus went first, so all I have to do is respond to his unending love.
Lately, I’ve been finding myself bracing for impact, but that’s not how God has called me to live.
Recently, my decisions were motivated by fear instead of faith, but I’m thankful for the clarity that truth brings.
Allowing yourself to be led is a courageous decision, resting is rooted in wisdom, and choosing contentment is a sign of strength.
