Time to Step Away
I pray we each have the courage to listen to God’s voice and respond accordingly today!
My thoughts as I journey through this thing called life.
I pray we each have the courage to listen to God’s voice and respond accordingly today!
We will never be able to perfectly care for others, do justice, love mercy, or walk humbly, but we can become more and more like him each and every day.
Walking humbly with God isn’t pressure-filled. It is embracing who he has called and empowered us to be.
We can easily look like we’re humble, without actually humbly walking with God.
With the Lord, justice, mercy, and humility aren’t opposing ideas, they all work together in harmony.
We don’t need to fix or have all the answers or be worried about the destination–we can just focus on being as present with our traveling companions as we can.
I encourage you to spend some time sitting in silence with the Lord today and ask him what today’s step is. It’s amazing how he can speak so clearly when we give him the space to do so.
I know my God is faithful in spite of the messiness of life and I can trust him. No matter what life looks like, he is forever faithful.
I believe that God delights in our asking “Why?”. Let’s be a people who search out important matters as we search after God.
Whether your addition is coffee or something stronger, social media or some other technology, or something entirely different, I encourage you to take those things to God.
